IP Yuk-Yiu | 葉旭耀 | IP ヤック=ユー

 

IP Yuk-Yiu is a filmmaker, media artist, art educator and independent curator. His works have been showcased extensively at international venues including European Media Art Festival, New York Film Festival, the Image Festival, FILE Festival, VideoBrasil, and Transmediale. He is the founder of the art.ware project, an independent curatorial initiative focusing on the promotion of media art in Hong Kong. Currently he is Associate Professor at the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong.

Alan Kwan | 關子維 | アラン・クワン

 

Alan Kwan is an artist, designer and technologist, recently completed his master's degree at MIT. Alan’s works explore experimental forms of spatial storytelling, interactive experience, and artistic expression enabled by immersive virtual reality and real-time 3D technology. Alan’s projects were shown at numerous international venues including Ars Electronica, ZKM and Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Shanghai. Alan was awarded with the first prize of the MIT Harold and Arlene Schnitzer Prize, Asian Cultural Council Fellowship, and the Hong Kong Arts Development Council Award for Young Artist (Media Art) for his innovative body of work combining art and technology.

Hui Wai Keung | 許維強 | フイ・ワイ=キョン

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Hui Wai Keung received his diploma in Fine Arts (Sculpture) from Hong Kong Art School and his MFA from School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong.  His works have been exhibited in Hong Kong, Korea, Argentina, Greece and many other countries.  He has also been actively engaged in artist residencies both in Europe and Asia. Having worked across media, Hui now focuses on digital media but he still treasures traditional aesthetic values. He believes it is time for art to go back to the sublime, but a new definition of the sublime. His solo exhibition is coming up in this fall at the Goethe Institute in Hong Kong.

Edwin Lo | 羅潤庭 | エドウィン・ロウ

Edwin Lo is a sound artist from Hong Kong working with sound and listening in various contexts and media such as performance, writings, recording, video and installation. Since 2008, his works are widely presented in various local and overseas exhibitions, festivals and residencies.  In 2014 and 2016, Lo presented two solo exhibitions “Time spent, lost and regained…” at Goethe Institute Hong Kong in 2014 and “Traces and Scenes” at Experimental Sound Studio in Chicago, United States in 2016.   In 2017, he presented his solo project “OBJEKT” with sound art organization Singuhr in Germany.
